Scheduling Settings

With everything set up, you are almost ready to begin scheduling. Before jumping in, there are a few final settings you may want to review so Crew Console works exactly the way your team needs it to.

Crew Console gives you the flexibility to use scheduling without timekeeping if that fits your operation. If you choose not to use time tracking, open the main menu, go to Settings, then Timekeeping, and turn the feature off. Be sure to save your changes.

Your homepage will update to reflect the change, but you will still have full access to scheduling, job management, and text notifications. The only difference is that time entry will no longer be available.

For teams that plan to use timekeeping, simply leave the feature turned on so all tracking tools remain active.

One of Crew Console’s features is hourly scheduling. It allows you to assign work by specific time blocks rather than just by day, giving you greater control over detailed schedules. If you wish to enable hourly scheduling go to Scheduling in the menu settings and enable hourly scheduling.

From Global Settings, you can choose to limit what users see. By enabling the option that allows users to view only the jobs they are assigned to, you keep schedules cleaner and reduce confusion for your field team.

Crew Console also offers the option to let employees respond to job events. When this feature is enabled, employees receive a link in their schedule text messages that allows them to confirm whether they will attend a job. They can respond directly from the SMS or through the app.

With these final settings in place, your system is now ready for scheduling. In the next step, you can begin assigning jobs and sending your first schedule notifications.
