By default, the calendar shows jobs based on when they are scheduled. You can tell someone is scheduled because you will see a small calendar icon next to their name.
Resource View adds another layer by showing when people are actually available, not just where jobs are placed on the calendar.
Turn On Resource View
Resource View is enabled by a super administrator.
Steps:
- Go to Settings
- Select Scheduling
- Enable Resource View
- Press Save
Once enabled, a new Resource View tab appears on the schedule page.
Resource View is currently available on PC and iPad. It is not available on phones.
Understanding Resource View
You can resize the Resource View panel from the bottom to fit your screen.
In week view, you can quickly see:
- Who is scheduled
- Who is open
- What days have no events
For example, if Jeff is scheduled on Wednesday, you will see that day filled. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will show as open if he has no events.
Hourly View for Time Conflicts
Switching to hourly view shows exact time blocks. If Jeff is scheduled from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., you will see that full time slot filled.
This makes it easy to spot overlaps before they become a problem.
Crew Scheduling Visibility
When a crew is scheduled to a job:
- The crew event appears on the calendar
- Each crew member also shows as scheduled in Resource View
- Crew assignments are shown with a thin line
This helps you see both the crew booking and the individual availability at the same time.
Double Booking Warnings
If you try to schedule someone on two jobs on the same day, Crew Console will warn you about double booking.
You can still proceed if needed, but Resource View makes it clear where time overlaps exist, especially in hourly view.
Filter and Search Resources
Resource View includes search and filter tools so you can:
- Search by employee name
- Filter by day or hour
- Use the same filters available on the main schedule
This makes it easy to find available people fast.
Why Resource View Matters
Resource View helps you:
- See availability at a glance
- Avoid double booking
- Schedule crews more accurately
- Make better decisions before assigning work
It gives schedulers a clear picture of resources so jobs are staffed correctly the first time.
