Not everyone in your company needs full control of the schedule. Crew Console lets you give the right access to the right people without slowing anything down.
A common setup is having one person handle scheduling while a project manager helps manage jobs in the field.
Assign the Right Permissions
From Active Staff, you can control exactly what each person can do.
For example, a project manager may:
- Create new customers
- Add notes, photos, and attachments to jobs
- Set goals and track progress
But they may not:
- Edit or manipulate the schedule
This keeps scheduling locked down while still giving project managers the tools they need to run work in the field.
Email addresses are logins. If a password is forgotten, you simply reset it in the staff profile.
Working Inside a Job
Jobs can be opened from the schedule in two ways: directly from the schedule view or from list view.
Inside a job, tasks like placing concrete, saw cutting, or forming can each hold their own:
- Notes
- Photos
- Attachments
Everything added to a task flows into the message board, creating one clean communication trail. Text messages sent from the schedule are also logged here, clearly marked as SMS.
You can filter the message board by task to see only what applies to that specific scope of work.
Set Goals and Track Pace
For each task, you can set goals in different ways:
- Quantity and man hours to calculate pace
- Quantity only
- Man hours only
- Or no goals at all
Example:
- 10,000 square feet
- 100 man hours
This automatically creates a pace of 100 square feet per hour.
When crews enter time and quantities, Crew Console instantly shows whether they are on pace.
Completed Tasks Stay Out of the Way
Once a task is finished, it can be marked complete. This removes it from time entry so crews do not accidentally book hours to finished work.
Sticky Notes for Critical Info
General job notes can include things like:
- Location information and coordinates
- Gate codes
- Site contacts
- Google Maps links
Sticky notes stay at the top so important details are never pushed down by new messages. Field crews can tap links directly from their phone.
What the Field Sees
Employees only see jobs they are scheduled to when timekeeping is enabled. In the field they can:
- View job goals
- See notes, photos, and attachments
- Enter time and quantities
- Add their own photos and notes
If goals are missed, a red flag appears immediately so issues are visible the same day, not weeks later.
Track Productivity Over Time
From the tracking page, project managers can:
- Review task performance
- Compare jobs, crews, or supervisors
- See average install rates
- Filter by date range, job, crew, or manager
As more data comes in, install rates become more accurate and more valuable for future planning.
Reporting Made Simple
Payroll and job reports can be filtered by date, job, or employee and exported as a CSV for quick review or sharing.
Crew Console gives you tight control over permissions, clear communication from the field, and real productivity tracking without making the system complicated.
