This tutorial covers how foremen and supervisors use clock in and clock out to manage time for themselves and their crew, including switching tasks, editing time, and splitting crews across jobs.
Clocking In as a Foreman or Supervisor
Sign in using your PIN and press Clock In.
Just like bulk time entry, you can add additional employees who are working with you that day. Use the dropdown to search and select anyone you need, even if they are normally on another crew.
Next, select the job and the task you want to clock everyone into. Once confirmed, all selected employees are clocked in together.
Switching Tasks for the Whole Crew
If the crew changes tasks during the day, you do not need to clock out.
Press Switch All, enter any quantities if needed, indicate whether a lunch break was taken, and select the new task. Everyone will be switched to that task at the same time.
Clocking Out at the End of the Day
When the day is finished, press Clock Out. You can enter quantities such as square feet or lineal feet and confirm lunch breaks before completing the clock out.
Editing Clock In Clock Out Time
After clocking out, you will see the time entries for the day.
If something needs to be fixed, you can open the entry, select the task, and edit individual employee time as needed. Any changes you make are tracked and visible to admins, including what was changed and by who.
Clocking Different Crew Members Into Different Jobs
Foremen can split crews across jobs.
You can remove yourself from a group, clock part of your crew into one job, and then clock yourself or other employees into a different job. Each person will be tracked independently on their assigned job and task.
Foreman Clock In Clock Out Summary
Foremen and supervisors can clock crews in together, switch tasks for everyone, split crews across jobs, edit time when needed, and clock out cleanly at the end of the day. This gives you full control of crew time while keeping everything accurate for payroll.
