Topics: Time Keeping

This tutorial explains the fieldworker view of Crew Console app, including time entry reminders, job details, schedule access, and how to respond and take action from the field.

If your company has timekeeping enabled, you may receive a text reminder if you forget to enter your time by a certain time of day.

The text includes your company’s login link. Tapping the link opens the Crew Console app so you can enter your time right away.

You may also receive texts with job information sent by your company. These are called event notes.

An event note text can include:

  • Company name
  • Job name
  • Job number
  • Job address
  • Date, start time, and end time
  • Notes about the job

If an address is included, most phones let you tap it to open directions.

Some companies turn on job acknowledgement.

If enabled, the text will include a link that lets you confirm whether you will be there or not. Tapping the link opens the app where you can respond. Once you respond, your crew can see who has acknowledged the job.

If a job does not have a standard street address, the scheduler can pin the exact location using GPS coordinates.

When you tap Navigate, your phone opens directions to the exact job location.

In the app, you can see all the jobs you are scheduled for. These are the same jobs you receive by text.

Depending on company settings, you may only see your assigned jobs or you may also have the option to view all company jobs.

You can expand jobs to read event notes, switch between day, week, or hourly views, and tap into a job for more details.

From the schedule or job page, you can:

  • Add photos, notes, or attachments to the job
  • Add photos, notes, or attachments to specific tasks
  • Clock in or enter time directly

This keeps all job information tied to the work being done.
