Employee Time Entry

For: Employee

Topics: Get Started, Time Keeping

This tutorial walks through time entry from the employee point of view, starting from first login through editing submitted time.

If this is your first time using the app, open it and enter your PIN. Once logged in, the main screen shows your total time for the week.

The bar graph at the top grows as you enter time.

  • Yellow means you entered the time yourself
  • Teal means your foreman approved it
  • Blue means the back office admin approved it

You will also see your name and the crew you are assigned to.

To enter time, press Enter Time.

  1. Select the job
  2. Choose the date you worked, including past dates if you forgot to enter time
  3. Press Enter Time

You will see the list of tasks set up for that job.

Select the task you worked on and press the plus button.

You can:

  • Enter a start and end time
  • Or enter total hours

The app automatically calculates total hours. If your company uses lunch breaks, check the Took Break box and the break time will be automatically subtracted.

Press OK, then Done to submit your time.

Your weekly bar graph will update immediately so you always know how many hours you have submitted.

Tap the bar graph to see all your time entries for the week. This removes any guesswork about how many hours you are getting paid for.

If your company uses job goals, you may see additional icons when entering time.

These show:

  • Total quantity planned for the job
  • Total hours budgeted
  • Required pace to stay on track

You can tap the arrow to see more detail, including percent complete.

When you submit time, hours are applied to the job goals automatically. Lunch breaks are not counted toward goal hours.

Before finishing time entry, you can add notes, photos, or attachments.

Notes and photos are attached to the job and task, not payroll. They are visible to people managing the job, not back office payroll staff.

This is useful for job notes, progress updates, or documentation.

If you make a mistake, you can tap a time entry and edit it.

You can adjust hours, times, or other details. Keep in mind that all edits are tracked and visible to the back office.

Enter time, review your weekly hours, add job notes if needed, and edit mistakes when they happen. The app keeps everything clear so you always know what you submitted and what has been approved.
