Calendar Views and Personal QR Codes

For: Scheduler

Topics: Scheduling

Crew Console offers multiple calendar views so you can see your schedule in the way that works best for your team and your workspace. This walkthrough explains each view and shows how employees can use QR codes to get their schedules sent to them by text.

The timeline view is the standard scheduling layout. This is where you place jobs on the calendar and drag people and equipment onto them. Each view has its own settings, including the option to Expand All, which shows full details for each scheduled event.

This view is best for hands-on scheduling and day-to-day adjustments.

List view is designed for quick checks. If you want to see what’s scheduled for today, tomorrow, or the next few days without looking at a full calendar, this view shows everything in a clean list format.

It’s useful for reviewing upcoming work at a glance.

Resource view is built for visibility, especially on large screens.

In this view, you can close all drawers and display the schedule on a monitor or TV. With Auto Scroll turned on, the schedule scrolls continuously from top to bottom. If you want to stop the movement, simply turn auto scroll off.

This makes it easy to display a live schedule in an office, shop, or job trailer where everyone can see what’s going on.

One of the key features of resource view is the ability to show QR codes.

When QR codes are enabled, each employee can scan their own code directly from the schedule board. When they scan it, Crew Console sends them a text message with the events shown in the current view.

For example:

  • If the calendar is set to day view, the employee will receive only today’s job.
  • If the calendar is set to week view, the employee can receive their full schedule for the week.

Employees can walk up to the screen, scan the code, and send their schedule to themselves without logging into the app.

You can further customize what you see in resource view:

  • Expand All shows start and end times for events
  • Show Crew Names displays entire crews as a group, with individual employees listed underneath
  • Turning crew names off switches the view to individual employees only
  • Show Photos displays employee photos if they’re added
  • Show Only My Jobs filters the schedule to only jobs assigned to you

These options help you control how much detail is shown, depending on whether the schedule is for planning, review, or display.

This setup makes it easy to manage complex schedules while also giving field workers a simple way to get their job information quickly.
