With a few employees already set up, the next step is to add active staff members. Staff accounts give key team members access to the system so they can help manage jobs, schedules, and reporting.
Understanding staff access
As the super administrator, you have full control over every feature in Crew Console. When you add staff members, you decide exactly what each person can see and do. This allows you to share responsibility without giving everyone full system access.
Adding a new staff member
To add a staff member, go to the Staff page and click the plus button. Unlike employees, staff members sign in using an email address and password rather than a PIN.
Each staff profile requires an email and a password. For security, Crew Console automatically hides the password after it is entered. If the password is ever forgotten, it can be reset rather than retrieved, keeping accounts protected.
Staff members can be scheduled and can enter time just like regular employees. You can also add a phone number so they receive schedule texts and assign them to a crew if needed.
Assigning staff permissions
One of the most important parts of setting up staff is choosing their permissions. Crew Console allows you to control access to key areas such as payroll, job creation, user management, scheduling, reporting, tracking, and billing.
For example, you might allow a staff member to view all scheduled jobs without giving them the ability to edit the schedule. This keeps information visible while maintaining control over changes.
Each staff member can also have notes, photos, and attachments added to their profile, just like employees. This makes it easy to track certifications, responsibilities, or internal documentation.
Finalizing your setup
Once your staff member is saved, their account is ready to use. With both employees and staff members set up, your Crew Console system is now prepared for scheduling, timekeeping, and job management.
From here, you can keep creating tasks and assign them to staff members and employees.
