Add Customers

For: Scheduler, Administration

Topics: Get Started

Now that you have employees, staff, tasks, and jobs set up, there is one more powerful feature you may want to enable right away, the Customers feature. This option is available only to super administrators and adds another layer of organization and communication to your workflow.

To turn on customers, open the main menu, go to Settings, then Global Settings, and enable Customers. Be sure to save your changes. Once this is done, the Customers section will appear on your homepage.

Just like employees and jobs, you can add customers in several places. You can use the plus button on the homepage, add them from the Customers page, or create a new customer while setting up a job from the Schedule page.

When adding a customer, the company name is required. Email and phone number are optional, but adding them gives you the ability to communicate directly through Crew Console. You can also include notes for each customer to keep track of important details.

Once a customer is added, you can attach them to any job. You can even assign multiple customers to the same job if needed. Keep in mind that when a job is scheduled and texts are sent, every customer with a valid phone number attached to that job will receive those messages.

After saving the job, you can add tasks just like before and decide later whether to place the job on the schedule.

From the Customers menu, you can view, edit, and search your entire customer list. The search function works the same way it does for employees, making it easy to find customers by name or notes.

As you continue creating jobs, they will appear in your Active Jobs list on the homepage. If a job is completed or no longer needed, you can mark it inactive from the Jobs page. Once inactive, the job will no longer appear on your homepage or on the schedule, preventing it from being assigned by mistake.

If you ever need to bring that job back, simply reactivate it from the Jobs page and it will return to both your job list and your schedule.

With customers enabled and jobs organized, your Crew Console system becomes even more powerful, helping you manage projects, communication, and scheduling with greater control and clarity.
